Pumpkin Recipes

This holiday I went outside the box and did not make a pie.  Instead I found two recipes for pumpkin that I thought I would try.  Here is how they came out...the first is crustless pumpkin pie.  After gathering all the ingredients,
wisk the pumpkin, eggs and evaporated milk
drizzle the top with melted butter without mixing it together.
It comes out cake like and crispy on the top and nice and creamy pumpkin on the bottom.  A finishing picture and recipe are found on this blog on my recipe page.  This was quick, easy and delicious!
With the left over pumpkin I made four small Pumpkin Cre'me Brule'e.  Mixing all ingredients together.
Pour evenly into four 4 oz. ramekins.   Bake them in a water bath until set.
If you have a teenage boy around they will love the torching of the sugar part of this recipe.
Trying a new recipe is always a bit scary, but sometimes the results are quite tasty and well worth the effort.  Enjoy!

I haven't posted the creme brulee recipe because I wasn't completely happy with the texture of the pumpkin brulee.  I will make some changes and if successful I will add it then.

Can't wait to hear about the Brule! I'm asking Santa for ramekins and a torch for Christmas! Your crustless pie looks pretty yummy too!

Looks yummy. Good for you trying something new! It is not easy to step outside the box, but look what you can discover!
