Meanwhile our Sup n Sew met recently at Beverly's house and I was able to snoop through some of the quilts she has made. Here's what I found. A doll quilt wrapped and tied around a vintage wooden spool.
I first met Beverly at The Temecula Quilt Company. We took their Monday class which constantly had great projects like this one...
Here is a close up of the blocks on point.
Beverly was just finishing the single binding on this Jan Patek design.
We talked about the quilting, since I have recently started doing the cross hatching before I add the applique'. But Beverly sewed right through hers and it came out really nice. I might have to try it this way.
Always a fun night when we get out and share our love of quilting.
I am glad you showed the quilting over the applique.. I always quilt "around" the appliques and that makes for a lot of stop and starting... never tried doing the quilting before adding the applique either... so 2 new ways for me to go.
