Sew Good

   The Wednesday project is close to complete.  And what a surprise to see that as I sewed away, Facebook was blowing up with the new cover of Primitives Magazine and Cheri Payne's blog was posting a "I got the Cover", both of which were about this very project.  The main part of the quilt is 6 little baskets.

 Then add an inner and outer border.

 Next using your favorite applique' method, turn the templates into fabric adornments.

 Glue baste into place.

I'll finish up the hand sewing and update a post when I toss this into a tea bath and quilt it (not necessarily in that order).   Remember that this project along with quite a few more will be available soon in your local quilt shop.  And Quilter's Coop will have kits and magazines available.  Call and reserve yours today, they will go quickly.  Have a peace filled week.  Laural

   I wanted to share some sewing and not so sewing finds.  Many of which were shared in the sewing groups, validating what I already knew, being in a sewing circle is enlightening in many different ways. Like when a friends shares the tiny pumpkin she made and everyone says AHH.

...or a new Quiltmania book comes in from quilt market and it is passed around the room

...I've learned that when red bleeds all over white fabric and it isn't your quilt but a clients, you can use this cleaner and they will never know (Sally I am so not talking about your quilt).

...and through trial and error and the rumor mill, these tools have made my stitching life easier

...On Cheri's blog I found Pinterest with this photo of primitive candy canes which if you are on my gift list you might be getting a few of these.
