when girls gather & a give away

   One of my sewing groups met this week.  We had picked the date months ago so when a huge thunderstorm blew in that morning I was tempted to cancel.  But no, the camaraderie of my sewing sisters was just what I needed.  We started as usual with some really great food.

Enchilada casserole, spring salad and not much left of this Panera's fruit and cheese danish ring.  YUM!

At some point we did make it to our seats for some hand and pieced work.  Like this little wall hanging from last years edition of Sew Scrappy magazine.  We all agreed there were some great projects in that one.

 And one gal found, yes found these blocks that she swears are about 8 years old.  So she was working on a real UFO.

 Our Schnibbles girl was flying geesing it like mad trying to finish this schnibble of the month.

You know what I worked on?  Something that had come in the mail just that day, something that explained the roaring to life of my long silent web site...

 My magazine cover, oh and the rest of the magazine as well.
