Honoring Mother's

Good morning,  it's Mother's Day.  Did you wake to breakfast in bed and a bouquet of flowers?  Yeah, me neither.  I lost my mom to pancreatic cancer 21 years ago.   She wasn't as overtly crafty as I turned out to be,  but she loved to sew, refinish furniture and make ceramics.  She taught me how to keep a clean home and when your man hits that door from a hard days work, dinner is on the table.   She made many mistakes along the way but she was my mom and I miss her.
She has been my inspiration for several of my patterns.

Being a mom is the hardest job I've ever had.  I too have made my fair share of mistakes.  But these two kids bring me such joy.
I hope your Mother's Day is spent being adored by your family and honored for the work you do.  Have a peace filled week.  Laural

The photo of you in the kids is just adorable. How I would love to live some of those years again when my girls were younger and we used to have lots of fun together. I hope your Mother's Day was a lovely day for the special mother that you are!
