Road Trip!

Sometimes the only way to de-stress is to just get up early, grab your coffee and head out to your favorite quilt shops.  That is how I ended up at Sew Hut in San Diego dropping off a sewing machine to be serviced.  While waiting for the shop to open we noticed the thrift shop next door and spent $20.00 to get these 100% wool jackets.
Next stop on this day O' fun...The Country Loft in La Mesa.
Of course they have their own great selection of wools.
Everywhere you look there is something with which to be tempted.
I bought the pattern for this little wall hanging.
It is called "English Garden" and published by The Cottage at Cardiff Farms.  It has been so long since I have worked on a project that I could say was strictly for pleasure, I'm hoping that this is the one that gets me started.  Have a great weekend everyone, Laural

The perfect way to spend the day and I love hitting the thrift shops when I am out. I really like the flour pattern, looks like a fun one to make for the kitchen.
