Least Favorite...

This weekend I finished the top of a new design. Besides writing up the directions for it I needed to quilt it.  But that meant the dreaded backing...
So I began grabbing red scraps and any left over blocks from the front...
Which also meant ironing, cutting and more sewing to get it to the size I needed.
After an hour of this I was done and that's when it dawned on me...piecing a backing is my least favorite step in the quilting process. So I ask...What is your least favorite task in quilting?

Piecing backing and prepping the batting is definitely up there...along with quilting. The rest I love!

Oh ... I'll take piecing a backing over crawling around on the floor pin basting ANY DAY!!! LLLLLOL!!! Candy

I think my least favorite is the actual sandwiching... I hate trying to make it all flat and straight and I inevitably always leave a pucker.

Couldn't agree more.

I dislike piecing backings too. Sometimes I just can't think of how I would like to quilt the quilt and come to a stall - sometimes lasts for months.

Happy New Year, Laural,

Charlotte I hang the quilts in the living room and draw quilting stitches in the air with my finger until I work it out and yes it can take a long long time. Happy New Year!
