There must be something in the air as I seem to be finishing up projects that I keep finding in various degrees of completeness. Like this scotty dog, 30's applique' pillow top.

What stopped me was 28-4 patches that needed to go all the way around the pillow top. I can only blame myself since I didn't want to make the whole quilt.
Four patches are done and sewed in place. Lets make a pin dot ruffle.
Donna told me she saw this tutorial about sewing a zig zag on top of another thread and that when you pull it to gather it goes really smoothly. So I'll try that.
Worked like a charm and now to baste ruffle in place.
And here it is (unstuffed) with the back sewn into place.
I don't know what all the fuss was about this was a fun project to do.
Well let me keep digging and see what else is in there that needs to be finished up. Have a piece filled week. Laural

But you forgot the patch on the back, "to Mary for her love of scottie dogs...." I cant wait to get it!!!
