A Somber Moment

I have been quiet this week.  Not just because I have been printing patterns and shipping orders.  But because one day after returning home from quilt market, we lost one of our quilting sisters.  Teresa and her daughter Laurene have been sewing in our Sup n Sew for over two years.
When she joined our group, she had been in her cancer battle for two years.  Every day, no matter the pain, the inability to breathe, the exhaustion, this lovely woman got up, made herself up, put on the sparkles and shared her beautiful spirit with the world.  A world that will be less without her in it.
Left behind, with memories and grief are her three children, husband, mother and the future of her family, beautiful grandchildren who released pink balloons just like grandma wanted them to do.
We will continue to meet, we Sup n Sew's, but it won't be the same without our Teresa.
