It's Been Awhile

   I went public with my blog several years ago.  It has opened up a community of quilters who at times have reached out to me privately, public comments and personal visits to my shows.  I am so grateful to the many new friends I have made through this blog format.  This year I have struggled to keep up with blog tutorials, pictorials and general information sharing.   There are several reasons for this, but the one that hit me hardest was trying to find a balance between sharing my love of quilting and openly advertising my comings and goings.  My personal space, my home, became the target of unwanted attention and that situation caused me to retreat from my online presence.  I am very glad to report that all is right with the world again and therefore I am going to attempt to return to my blog and share some of the more exciting news happening this year.   Like...

   I will be attending, as a vendor, my first Quilt Market Houston!!!  And since I will already be there might as well stay for Festival.  This means new designs, more retail product and nerves gone wild, but I am very excited to be introducing my pattern line to the quilt shops who will be in attendance.   Also, I just heard from Primitive Quilts magazine that one of my designs will be published in their 2015 calendar.

I just placed an order, so I should have copies for sale at future shows, and also a give away in the near future.  An updated show schedule has just been put up on the "Events" page of this blog.    Recently added to the website are some of my latest designs like "Words to Live By".

This is also the first of my designs sporting the new, updated pattern cover.  See, I've been busy in my absence just not very public.  I've missed my blog community and feel very much at home to return to this format.  Have a great weekend,  Laural
